Data Controller

WeRead is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any privacy-related inquiries, contact us at support@weread.com

Information We Collect

We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:

  • Anonymous User ID: A randomly generated identifier to track usage limits and provide the service. This is not linked to your identity.
  • Email Address: Only for Pro subscribers, collected via Stripe for billing and account management.
  • Usage Statistics: Number of analyses performed and timestamps to enforce free tier limits and improve our service.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details.
  • Article Content for Processing: When you click "Analyze," the extension sends relevant portions of the page to our AI provider solely to generate summaries, navigation, and notes. We do not use this content to build advertising profiles or sell to third parties.
